Authentic Varnished Bourbon Barrel Planter – Rustic & Full of Character

Made from a genuine 20-year-old bourbon barrel, this substantial half-barrel planter is a fantastic way to add authentic rustic character to your garden, patio or outdoor space.

Each barrel is carefully prepared to help preserve its original appearance and extend its useful life. The outside edges are lightly sanded to remove the roughest areas while retaining the natural aged character of the timber. The metal hoops are treated, and the wooden staves are varnished for added protection and longevity.

Because these are genuine used bourbon barrels rather than newly manufactured planters, every one is unique. The timber naturally varies in grain, markings, staining and colour. The varnish also reacts differently with each barrel, meaning the finished colour can range from lighter golden/brown tones to much darker, richer shades. Rust, marks, imperfections and signs of previous use are all part of their authentic character.
